A Wonderful Mother/Daughter Experience

It's Christine again. Thanks for stopping in to chat.

So it was during the Christmas holidays that I finally got to have a sit-down talk with my mother.  Like I shared before, I was disappointed the first couple of times we met. She just kinda sat there as if she was uncomfortable and wouldn’t look at me. I know she had to feel guilty about what she did. You don’t go off for eleven years and forget you have a daughter just like that.

I don’t know what happened in the meantime, but she had a change of heart. She’s warm and friendly now and you know what? I think we’re gonna get along just fine. So what does the letter W have to do with anything? It's just that I couldn't stop  wondering about that complete turnaround. My mother is like a whole different person. I even let out a big old ‘WOW!’ when I thought about the wonderful day out we had. It was a super-cool mother/daughter experience and I never really had that before.

So in case you’re interested in exactly why I’m just meeting my mother, you can read more about me here or read the book I wrote here. If you want to pop in on the other bloggers doing this Blogging from A-Z Challenge, click here.

See you at X!

Wow- thanks for sharing your personal story! I like real life stories. Humans can relate to what is real. We all have things that have happen to us in our lives; the journey isn't always pleasant; however, I do think that all things happen for a reason that is sometimes beyond our understanding. Seeking to know usually does bring about answers, so I'm happy for you that you are seeking to understand and find the answers that you need!
Congratulations on your novels and writings!

Thanks, Betty,
Christine's experience isn't personal for me, however, I have come across children who have been in abusive situations.
